The Gaming Giant Brings Onboard Popular Battle Royale Lead to Revitalize Troubled Action Game Ambitious Title
2K Games has appointed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to direct the development team at 31st Union, which is currently developing the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Leadership Transition Comes After Lukewarm Feedback
The new appointee steps into the leadership position at 31st Union following the departure of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to the game's disappointing initial reveal last fall.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer informed employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had indicated the necessity for a clearer vision.
Ismailer expressed that the developers is now overhauling the project with a refreshed focus, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
A Pattern of Strategic Hires
The news mirrors a similar step taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from Blizzard to contribute to the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
Here is the full message from Ismailer's communication:
